Bali Visa Processing Time

The processing time for a Bali visa for Indians can vary between 3 days to 15 days. This timeframe is subject to change based on individual circumstances, similar to visa applications for other countries. It is advisable to consult relevant authorities and official websites to ensure accurate and up-to-date information on the Bali visa application process. Keeping abreast of the latest updates will help you plan your travel itinerary effectively.

Overstaying and Penalties

Overstaying in Bali attracts penalties and consequences, or being deported or blacklisted from the country. The penalty for overstaying is IDR 1,000,000 (~ INR 5,370) per day. However, if you want to extend your trip beyond 30 days, apply for a Tourist Visa immediately. VoA offers an extension of 30 days which you can avail of through their online portal

The only type of visa that can be extended is the visa-on-arrival; e-visa-on-arrival cannot be extended. The procedure to extend the visa aligns with applying for a fresh visa upon arrival at the airport or border - this involves paying the same fees, presenting your passport, providing evidence of departure from the country at the end of your stay, and optionally, showing hotel bookings and an itinerary if requested by officers.Extensions can be carried out independently or through an agent. Undertaking the extension independently costs USD 35 or IDR 500,000, necessitating three visits to the immigration office. Conversely, employing an agent costs about USD 55 or IDR 800,000, requiring a visit to the agent’s office to submit the extension.
